MADDEN INSPECTS STOCK LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 14.— John E. Madden came from Hamburg Place Monday . for a final inspection of his large band of • two-year-olds at Churchill Downs before ! they will be transferred to Belmont Park. About a dozen of the youngsters were worked I separately for Mr. Maddens benefit, and a majority galloped three-eighths in time . i around :36. Jockey A. Claver, loaned by Henry Mc-Daniel, was astride the youngsters in their 1" trials. Mr. Madden was particularly interested - in the fine looks of a brown colt by The Finn — Miss Kearney, an own brother r to Zev, which he fondly hopes will prove e to be a high-class racer. The colt has been a named Jarvis, in compliment to the trainer r of Papyrus. Mr. Madden stated that this colt, which II was not foaled until the latter part of June. ■ 1923, would not be sent to the barrier until j the Saratoga meeting.
