England, April 25.— Shaun Spadah won the private sweepstakes race, j run at Sandown Park today between Shaun Spadah and Music Hall, both former win- ners of the Grand National Steeplechase. f The race was originally arranged as a three-cornered match, but Stephen Sanfords famous steeplechaser, Sergeant Murphy, also ] a Grand National winner, was not able to ■ run because he had not recovered from the injuries he sustained in this years classic at Aintree. Shaun Spadah was the favorite. The race, over a three-mile course, had 200 pounds for , stakes. Shaun Spadah, which was an odds- ] on favorite at 13 to S, maintained a slight , lead throughout the race. Going well after the last jump, he finished easily ten lengths ahead. ,
