WIDENER HORSES IN EAST NEW YORK, N. Y., April 25.— The J. E. Widener stable has arrived at Belmont Park from Louisville, Ky., and the horses were unloaded in good condition. The stable numbers eighteen horses and is headed by the champion long distance racer Altawood. Hamadan, the Widener nomination for the Derby, was unloaded from the train in good condition, but during the night he developed a fever and Dr. R. W. McCully was called in. No serious consequences are expected. It was thought that the climatic change was responsible for the three-year-olds slight illness. Trainer G. H. Keene. who supervised the shipment of the Widener horses, was called to Cincinnati on business.
