At post 2 minutes. Start good and slow. Won handily: second and third driving. MISS BLAZE, away fast, took the lead quickly and, making the pace fast, finished gamely through the stretch and held GREEN BLAZES safe at the end. GREEN BLAZKS raced in nearest pursuit of the winner throughout, but swerved toward the inner rail when ridden hard in the last eighth. MERRY saved much ground on the turns and finished fast. PRINCESS APPLE ran well and had no mishaps. PHEASANT was crowded back when turning out of the back stretch and forced wide, but closed a big gap. GUNNY SACK raced well. VULGATE quit. Won driving: second and third driving. DIGIT set a fast pace throughout and maintained his position gamely under hard riding through the last eighth. WHETSTONE began in a tangle, but secured a clear course and steadily improved her position, but was unable to overtake the winner. HKKI.TAIS was outpaced to the streteh, and finished with a rush through the last eighth and outstayed GRBAT JAZ. The latter ran a fast half, but tired slightly in the last eighth. SIN ALTOS gained rapidly on the outside but lost considerable ground when entering the stretch. PElP began slowly. CANDY KID was in close quarters on the inside for the first half mile and moved up when entering the stretch, but was again cut off and forced back. Scratched— 888S0The Bat, 105. SWKEIING AWAY set a fast pace to the last eighth and finished resolutely. SKNAI.ADO raced in closest pursuit of the leader from the start and moved up gamely in the stretch, then tired. FIDDLESTICKS reared up at the start but settled into his stride the cutslde, responded gamely when called on in the final dime quickly and, moving up rapidly on CINEMA raced on the inside all the way and, saving ground, came fast in the final drive t AMKK began slowlv and was forced to race extremely wide to improve his position and ran a good race Ml COLONEL was slightly interfered with in the first eighth, but gradually improved his position and wag going fast at the finish. SILVER FINN ran well. FROST V BOY was in close quarters on the turn out of the back stretch, where he was crowded back, but ame again in the home stretch and, finishing with a rush, just managed to get up in time to win GOOD NIGHT came wide in the home stretch and made a great finish after passing the eighth pest but tired ufter catching THE ARCHER. The latter was under restraint until after rounding the ."ar turn, from where he raced into a good lead, but tired after seeming the winner. PETE THE SCRIBE was much used in making the pace, but quit in the stretch. Scratched— 88855-Trajanus, 104; 88900 Muskeg, 112; 8S904 Episode, 112. Overweight — Soviet, 1 pound.
