CAPTAIN SETH dwelt at the start and ran out on the first turn, but easily passed the others in the last .juarter. TORCHER finished resolutely through the stretch. BOOSTING and HAWKEYE both tired. BETHLEHEM STEEL made a resolute challenge in the stretch, but barely lasted to outstay OKEECHOBEE. The latter was forced to work his way upon the outside in the last quarter and finished gamely. BRIGGS BUCHANAN gained steadily from a slow beginning and easily passed ROUGH AND READY in the stretch. BOOOH AND READY tired after showing much early speed. SCISSORS ran over to the inside when going to the first turn, causing a jam in which POLVO and TARRAYCE C. suffered badly. Scratched— 88827 Escolane, 102.
