| LATONIA NOTES LATONIA. Ky.. June 13. Dan Scott, who bred Son of John and Take a Chance at hia Arrow Point Farm, near Lexington, reports that he has at his place seven yearlings by Sir John Johnson, the sire of both Son of John and Florence Milts. One of the youngsters is a brother to both the aforementioned racers. Mr. Scott reported that Water K. has a suckling filly by Sir John Johnson and M. Show bred to Tryster. Les Invalides, dam of Take a Chance, has :t suckling brown colt by Top Hat Julius Greener left Saturday night for Aurora, 111., for the purpose of doing missionary work among the horsemen on behalf of the Ilaccland and Dade Park meetings. Jefferson Livingston was advised by long distance phone Friday night that his Latonia LVrby candidate. Son of John, had spread his foot and sustained a slight bruise when kicked by Old Slip in his last race. Trainer Will Perkins is of the opinion, however, that the injuries will not stop the colts training i for the Lutonia Derby. Charles W. Primrose, who is now at Aurora, has been selected as presiding steward at the Salt Iake meeting, according to word received here today. D. Mergler has been engaged by Col. J. S. Taylor to ride Prince Charles in the Harold Stak s T. C. Bradley has been appointed one of the stewards at the Thistledown meeting. The other stewards will be Paul Miles and A, ti. i Leonard. Stake blanks for the Breeders Futurity of l.2~ and the Centennial Futurity for 1026. both to be run at Lexington, were distributed today. The Centennial is a new stake and; will lie run to commemorate the tracks Cen- tennial year. Kntries to both stakes close July 1. L E. Moore was suspended ten days by the stewards for rough riding in the last race. ! a .
