PIRATE GOLD tired under his weight after showing the most speed to the last eighth. TAI.EQUA outstayed the rest through the final eighth. MY BUDDY showed some early speed. QUICK LUNCH tired badly. ZANZIBAR raced well and kept gamely to lis task after lieing headed. TICKLER made up much ground. TEST OF TIME tired. MISS VIRGINIA ran poorly in the going. TULSA refused to start. Won easily; second and third driving. BONNIE OMAR was much the best in the going, raced into a long lead when called on despite swerving out badly in the streti h. THE POET finished fast and gamely next to the inner rail, but could never get to the winner. SCRATCH ran well but tired and just lasted long enough to outstay SKNOR for third place.
