1 * LATEST TURF NOTES FROM AURORA AURORA. 111., June 13. William Tell II.. from the stable of W. it Padgett, was fired for a splint this morning by Dr. Dell Wishard. A notice has been posted in the paddock that all owners and trainers not represented in the race, which the horses are being saddled for must keep out of the paddock enclosure. Violation of the rule will result in a 05 fine. Jockey L. Schafer got in from Toronto this morning and made his presence felt immediately by riding the first winner of the day. Thomas Cromwell, secretary of Ou Thoroughbred Horsemens Association, was a visitor today. Mr. Cromwell, who is also secretary of the Tri-State Fair and Racing Association, whose meeting at Raceland opens i on July 9th, declares that prospects look decidedly bright for a successful meeting at the Kentucky course. La Orb pulled up quite lame after the concluding race last night in which she finished fourth.
