SANOLA VICTORIOUS Accounts for Fleetwood Handicap Feature at Aurora Harry B Beats Whiff in Final FinalStride Stride Another Big Crowd CrowdSees Sees Excellent Racing AURORA III May 21 After a spirited stretch struggle Sanola carrying the colors of the Sanola Stock Farm accounted for the Fleetwood Handicap feature attraction at Exposition Park this afternoon Thunder Shower was a bang up second while Strut Miss Lizzie came from far back in the stretch to bear Monday Morning for third place placeDizzy Dizzy Blonde attempted to make a runa ¬ way race of the feature with Thunder Shower in closest pursuit An eighth out the early leader gave way and after showing in front temporarily Thunder Shower failed to with ¬ stand Sanolas challenge and the latter earned the verdict by a neck margin marginRain Rain threatened during the greater part ot the afternoon but failed to materialize An ¬ other large crowd witnessed the sport which was featured by many close and exciting finishes The track was in good condition despite a light shower last night nightAlthough Although he showed the way for the entire trip in the initial race Gus R was driving to the limit in the final stages to stall off the determined challenge of Chere bu Due to the erratic post behavior of the latter the start of this race was delayed thirteen minutes but once away Cherebu dis ¬ played good speed and would have won in a few more strides Settee the favorite was crowded back early then closed a big gap to beat the others for third money moneyKERRY KERRY CIRL EASILY EASILYKerry Kerry CSirl made a runaway affair of the following race and after drawing away into a long early lead was never threatened May Prosper made up considerable ground and raced into second place After showing1 early speed Thomas Piatt tired and was beaten for third money by Chile ChileIt It was only after a thrilling stretch strug ¬ gle that Harry B got up to snatch victory from Whiff in the final stride of the third race Whiff disposed of Smoky Day the pacemaker midway of the stretch and ap ¬ peared an easy winner but tired in the final drive Smoky Day held on long enough to save third thirdAfter After being carried extremely wide round ¬ ing the first turn Green Blazes obtained clear sailing on the outside of her opponents which enabled her to annex the fourth race Skivesdale suffered serious interference at the first turn but closed an immense gap to beat the others home Green Woods promi ¬ nent in the early stages outlasted the tiring pacemaker placeClyde Columbia II for third place Clyde Freeman scored his first success of the meeting when Albert L just lasted by a narrow margin to win the sixth race George Dover came from far back and was a rapidly finishing second Invictus after cutting out most of the pace saved third under a hard ride in the closing stages stagesRomping Romping Lad and Merctitio dominated the running in the closing dash with Invigorator in close pursuit After securing a slight lead over Romping Lad when straightened out in the stretch Mercutio was called upon for his best effort at the end to stall off the final challenge of Invigorator InvigoratorIn In the second yesterday Acquitted was claimed for 800 by Mrs A R Smith from A B Jessop she outdrawing W W Craft CraftThe The stables of J J Heffennan and Boots Durnell arrived today from lumisville In the Hefferman stable are several twoyear olds the property of J 13 Madden MaddenCherebu Cherebu was claimed from W Kenney by P J Fuhrmann for JGOO
