Dick Welles Selections SelectionsAt At Aurora BATIIIIPE SETH SHUFFLE TOP LADY LADYBATHILDE BATHILDE SETH is our choice in the opening number a claiming affair for three yearolds over the five anil a half furlongs distance Her races at Tijuana found her close up and she can be relied upon to give her best whenever she starts She was com ¬ peting against better horses at the Mexican course than she meets here and should be returned the winner SHUFFLE dopes to be the one to give BATHILDE the most trou ¬ ble In her last three starts at Columbus she got home the winner once and was sec ¬ ond in the other two If she continues to race in the same manner today should be close up at the finish TOP LADY is a nice little filly when in trim and well able to hold her own against this kind of company Jf she is feeling like herself today may be the one to show MISS FOUJfTAIJf THE WIRE MAYBEKRY MAYBEKRYThe The race MISS FOUNTAIN put tin opening day here makes her look like the best play in the second race She did not find her racing legs until the race was well under way but came with a mighty rush thVough the stretch and at the finish was only two lengths away from the winner though being un ¬ placed That same race again today should find her romping home the winner as the company she meets here is not quite so tough THE WIRE from the barn of IX Berman evidently wasnt in a running mood in the same race but is well able to do better If he would show any improvement at all think he would plug the two hole MAY BERRY finished behind MISS FOUNTAIN in the same race and a like effort here should see him beating the others in the race raceJAUNEBAR JAUNEBAR BULLET PHOOF BANOCK BANOCKA A limit field will very likely go to the post for the third race as no less than fifteen were entered Taking a line through the race run by JAUNEBAR on opening dayhe looks like the best play here In that race he was far back until making the turn for home where he came like a flash and at the end was wearing the winner down If he would put forth the same efforts today he should be able to earn brackets He will benefit by packing seven pounds less than his last out and that should be an advantage also BULLET PROOF used to be a whale of a horse a few years back and he still has a few races left in those legs of his If he would run as has been his wont he may be able to land the place money RANOCK is good at the present and looks like a cinch to save the show end of the purse purseDEEP DEEP THOUGHT SAXOL A DIZZY BLONDE BLONDEThe The fourth is called the Hurry On Purse j and it is a fitting name as there is plenty of speed represented in the race to be run over the sprinting distance of five and a half furlongs DEEP THOUGHT which raced so well at Tijuana last winter is our selection to beat SANOLA and DIZZY BLONDE The former met and beat some good ones at the Mexican course and if he is in any form at all should give a good account of himself here SANOLA tabbed the Queen of Haw ¬ thorne in 1924 is still winning races her last out at Orlando being a win She is most consistent and will let the others know they are in a race DIZZY BLONDE a Maryland performer also rates well up She is extremely speedy over the sprinting dis ¬ tances and should at least manage to show Of the others ORESTES II may be good enough to get a portion of the purse purseGEORGE GEORGE DE 5IAJlJ UCKWEED CROSS BOW Count the Chicago Handicap the feature race on the half holiday card already in GEORGE DE MAR is asked to give every thing in the race many pounds but basing on his showing in the Inaugural Han ¬ dicap on opening day he should not have any trouble in again being home first He ran j a pip of a race Thursday for he was practi j cally left but had enough speed to pass all the others in the race to be home a snug win ¬ ner by a length Given an equal chance at the start today he should lead his opponents home by as far a margin as his rider pleases DUCKWEED has been going good over the Maryland courses but does not stack up with the former He appears to be best of the others however and should take care of the place money CROSS BOW finished second to GEORGE in the same race and should be able to stick it out long enough today to garner the small end of the purse purseSCOOP SCOOP BOSH LOLA MONTEZ MONTEZThe The race run by SCOOP on opening day was one to suggest that he was a little short of a winning effort That performance should have done him much good and tight ¬ ened him up for todays test He wont be meeting such opposition today as he met Thursday and we are looking for him to score BOSH is always close up at the finish and he has but to run one of his regular races today to take down the place money LOLA MONTEZ did some good racing at Tijuana and if she has retained that form should not have any trouble in accounting for the show showTRY TRY AGAIN MOJfS MEG MART BUNCH BUNCHIn In the final race we are picking TRY AGAIN to be home first He was a pretty fair horse at Bowie this spring but in his first race here was out of the money We are passing that race as he can do much better Look for him to put up one of his good efforts today and if so he may prove best MONS MEG will be making his first start in a long while and if he has retained his Jefferson Park form will be a hard one to beat He is well suited to the distance and we are looking for him to be close up at the finish MART BUNCH comes here with a record of two consecutive wins at Colum bus He is of the shifty sort and may be good enough to get it all One Best Bet GEORGE DE MAE in Fifth Eace
