Jockey Canfield will be out of the satidla for at least a week, or until he recovers from the injury he sustained to his left foot while riding: Lady Carolyn in the sixth, race Thursday. In that race a lari;e splinter pierced his foot when his mount carried him to the rail entering the stretch. Jockeys E. Blind and G. Johnson left Friday night for Fairmount to ride P.agcn-baggage and Boot to Boot, respectively, in the Fairmount Derby. Jockey E. Scobie was indisposed and forced to cancel his engagement to ride Thats the Time in the sixth race. Jockey R. Finnerty carried off riding fee honors the past week, pulling down 15. Willie Garner was second with 00, and E Benham third with 79. Jockey Alack Garner, who suffered a fracture of the left leg Wednesday, was reported doing satisfactorily. For lack of indentification. the fillyWave-crest was ordered withdrawn from the seventh race by the stewards. She was programmed as the property of I-. Whiting, with E. Davis trainer. The program gave her as a four-year-old chestnut by Pennant — Dilden Rod and jockey E. Martin was scheduled to ride her.
