Dick Welles Selections At Aurora . KlXQl OI— N-ISSOritl HOY— MAY HlItltY. Auroras most successful meeting comes to a close with todays racing. Bating secretary C. F. Henry has arranged eight races for the finale, and in most every instance they are filled to overflowing. Sunshine and warmth have worked wonders with the track and, as a result, the going should border on fast. RUMQTJOl seems the l e*t of the nineteen entered for the opening dash at three-quarters. She has been threatening of late -and is about due to win a purse. MISSOFKI BOY is generally looked upon as a distance runner, but he may have enough early foot to see him landing the place. MAY BUDDY showed atr improvement in his last start and, if he were to race as well today, should be able to account for the show money. HOCKING— BONNIE LIZZIE— C. T. WOKTHINGTON. DOCKINGS early speed should work to her advantage in the second, a sprint affair at five and a half furlongs. She usually shows up best on a fast strip, and a race back to her last out when she beat Gilmore should see her again leading the others home. BONNIE LIZZIE is bound to be heard from, taking a line through her recent races. She was winner the time before last and then, in her last try, was leading until well into the stretch, where she tired. That effort was over the mile route, and this shorter distance should be more to her liking. C. T. WOKTHINGTON was last seen in a distance race, but that is not to his liking. He is a sprinter, and nothing else, and should be plenty good enough to get the show here. THE WIRE— McDONOUGH-JOSIE HARTMAN. In the Sunnyside Furse, to be run as the third, the juveniles are to race over the five-eighths distance. Barney Bcrmans THE WIKE is our selection to cop here. He has one win to his credit so far, and this looks like a likely spot for him to earn another purse. MeDONOUGH was the winner of his last out when he beat JOSTE HART-MAN and THE WIRE, among others. We dont think he is good enough to turn the trick again, but he should be the nearest to the latter at the wind-up. JOSIE put up a good performance in that race and, if she runs as well today, should get the small end of the purse. RED HEART— FINDAY— DOW N AST. The fourth is named the Kakeview Furse, and it brings out another limit field to contest over the five and a half furlongs distance. RED HEART should prove best here if he runs one of his good races. He is capable enough, but is not entirely consistent. FINDAY turned in one of her good races her last out when she finished second to Rocket. If she were to race in the same manner today, think she wouldnt have much trouble in capturing the place here. With the improved going, DOWNCAST is ! apt to be troublesome. He won two in a row and then lost his last race, in the mud. PRESIDENT— MAX BRICK— COG WH EEL. The feature race on the card is the Lincoln Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth, I for which ten were named. The race will ■ mark the first appearance of the former 1 E EL Bradley racer, PRESIDENT. When the Kentucky Derby winner owner disposed of him he had finally reached his best form : and. if the layoff since that time has not : dulled him too much, we think he will pre**] | the easiest winner of the day. MAX I MUCK i rates closest to the latter in the jumble of ! the figures and, if he races like he did in his last start, should" pot have any difficulty In getting the place. COGWHEEL is in the pink right now, and he will give the others plenty of opposition for the show end of the purse. TRY AGAIN— BROTHERLY LOVE-DOROTHY ADAMS. TRY AGAIN should be right on edge for todays tussle after that last race of his, when he was beaten a head by Babbling. He was just a little short on that occasion, but we think the race should have done him a world of good. BROTHERLY LOVE has two races in a row to his credit and is the real danger in the race. He stepped over this same distance in pretty good time his last out and, if he runs as kindly today, will be hard to beat. DOROTHY A HAMS has been landing close up in her recent races, and the same effort today would me st likely see her filling the three hole. SHINDY would figure well if the track was muddy. HFON PINE — CITIZEN — GOLDEN SWEEP. The mile of the seventh should result in a tight fit between HUON PINE and CITIZEN. We think that the former is the better of the two. however, and look for them to finish in that order, with GOLDEN SWEEP pulling up in third position. HUON PINE has been racing in a manner to suggest that he would go better at a longer distance than the short sprinting races and, for that reason, think he will score. CITIZEN will give the latter plenty of argument but dont think he is good enough to beat him. GOLDEN SWEEP landed in the three hole in his last two races and only neetls to race as well to again get the show money. GRASS TREE— MERCUTIO— POLLY ATWELL. Play GRASS TREE for a repeater in the Au Revoir Purse over the Trimble Course distance. He won his last out in hollow fashion and, if he races back to that effort, should be home the winner by a good margin. MERCCTIO dopes to finish closest to GRASS TREE, if his impost is not too much for him. He carries 118 pounds, and that usually is a little more than he can pack successfully. The lightly weighted POLLY ATWELL has been ringing the bell with consistency, and she should be the one to get the short end of the purse. One Best Bet — PRESIDENT, in the Fifth Race.
