SILVER SPUR, hard ridden for the entire race, laid to race wide on the stretch turn, hut came fast in the last eighth and outstayed DOCTOR OUHM through the last sixteenth. DOCTOR GLENN raced well and took the lead in the stretch, but tired near the end. TEXAS ran well and saved ground where possible. MARIONETTE tired in the last eighth. FHF.YA ran a good race, closing • big gap. FORETELL set a good pace, l.-nt quit. ROMP wheeled at the t,tart and was practically left. Won driving; second and third the same. RUNOARK took the lead at once, raced IA KG POIXT into defeat in the first half mile and held BRADLEYS TOXEY safe through the final drive. BRADLEYS TOXEY was far back for three-eighths, then came with a great rush through the last eighth and finished fastest of all. LONG POIXT set the early pace, but began tiring when reaching the last eighth. JOHN S. MOSBY was going fast at the end. SHASTA KING tired l»adly. PIPES OF PAX quit in the last sixteenth. BOOT TO BOOT set a fast pace to the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. ROCK MAX was done after going well for three-quarters. DR. CARDENAS was beaten off.
