STEEPLECHASERS TRAINING NEW YORK. N. Y.. April 13.— Over at Belmont Park Terminal the jumpers are being prepared for the approaching Hunts meeting. Vincent Powers had the Greentrce Stable steeplechasers out early and Jolly Roger, Krne II., Quatrain and others which have been entered in the Hunts events were sent over the obstacles and they indicated their readiness for racing. Winnie OConnor had Fairy Lore. Ladys Bougham and Kectangle, three which will be seen in jumping events this season, at the Terminal course and each of them shows steeplechasing quality. Fairy Lore was better known on the flat last year in Kentucky. Ladys Brougham and Rectangle were imported last fall after they had raced on the flat in England for one season. They will carry the silks of the Raritan Stable. Trainer OConnor has his star iK-rformer, Rip. in fine form for the Hunts meeting and he is confident he will add a considerable number of victories to his score during the season of 1927. Rip is sound as a dollar and he is one of the few horses that never has worn a bandage at any time in his career. He M a big fellow and powerfully muscled. The height of an obstacle does not frighten him and he can keep going all day. Rip will open his season at the Hunts meeting. Four Courts will Ik- seen on one or both days of that meeting.
