Crist received word that his yearling brother to Ball Gee had broken a leg while galloping about one of the paddocks at the Watkins farm in Illinois. Crist has the brood mare Kira at this farm, but she will probably be ahaaaoi to Kentucky, as Star McOee. the sire of Ball Gee, is not being bred to outside mares this spring. The apprentice rider B. Ray was suspended by starter Milton for five days for disobedience while at the barrier. Out of respect to the memory of the late Belmont Rowe. who died at Asheville, N. C, yesterday, the Harry Payne Whitney racers were withdrawn today and the colors of the New York sportsman will not be seen in action until Friday.
