BIDS FOR H0MEW00D A new Richmond has entered the Chicago racing field. No other than H. D. "Curly" Brown, builder of Oriental Park in Cuba and other tracks in this country, is here to bid for the controlling interest in the Washington Park course at Home-wood, III. Brown came here from his breeding farm in California to make an effort to secure a foothold in the local racing field. However, there is no assurance that lie will secure the control of Homewood for CM, Matt J. Winn and his associates have already made an offer that, according to good authority, may be accented. tt ■ r
