Won driving; second and third the Fine. LADY PARAMOUR began slowly, but gained steadily when settled in her stride and, coming with • rush on the last tnrn, took the lead and held it gamely. DIVORCEE came with a rash after reaching the stretch and, responding to hard riding, was slowly wearing the winner down. LA DENTELLE. forced to race very wide, came with a belated rush and outstayed VENDEISE. The latter closed a big rap. BEST SPADE set the early pace, but quit. MADAM EM ELI E was pinched back on the stretch turn. NANCY ALYEA shoved speed. ARRAGOSA came fast in the final half mile and finished resolutely. LONGCI1AMPS closed a big gap and finished with a rush. RADIO was cut off several times when moving up in the last half. LOYAL H. quit badly in the last quarter. SIX SIXTY was done after going three-quarters. Won handily: second and third driving. TYPHOON, away fast and given a vigorous ride, raced GLORIA ASPIN to defeat in the first three-eighths and was going away through the last sixteenth. CARTAGO was taken back soon after the start, but showed fine speed in the last quarter, and was going best of all at the end. GLORIA ASPIN was much used in forcing the early pace and tired in the last sixteenth. UUICKEN had no mishaps. M1MI tired. CIIATSON showed speed around the last tnrn. Won driving: second and third the same. GKN1AL HOST, under stout restraint, but close up for the first half mile, began racing to the leaders on the last turn and. coming through between OLD SLIP and PERCENTAGE, finished fast and won in the last stride. OLD SLIP was forced to race wide on the turns, raced into a small lead in the last sixteenth and, although finishing well, could not withstand the winner. PERCENTAGE was close up from the start and, racing SCOTLAND into defeat, began to tire badly in the last fifty yards. SCOTLAND set a good pace to the stretch and saved much ground on the turns, but was done after leading for seven-eighths. The others were badly outrun. MIX-IP. probably l est. was raced wide while closing a big gap. then swerved in badly through the stretch, but finished fast. MARY JANE raced well. MARY HELEN set a fast pace, but quit. LANCER suffered from much interference on the first turn, then moved up steadily and. although finishing gamely, was unable to quite head the winner, although racing best. SAM A HON suffered from interference from HAPPY BOB and tired after entering the stretch. HAPPY BOB was taken over sharply after the start and tired after forcing the pace for three-quartero. SAAR quit. Overweight— Saar, 1 pound.
