BIRIBI TO BE RETIRED SPECIAL CABLEGRAM PARIS, France, April 2«.— Biribi, the four-year-old son of Rabelais — La Bidouze. owned by S. Guthman. is nearing the end of his racing career. It has just been announced that it is planned to start him in only two more races in France and perhaps once in England before retiring him permanently to the stud. Biribi may be sent to the post for the Prix Du Oadran and the Prix de I. Arc de Triomphe in this country and, if he is ready for it. the Ascot Gold Cup in England. Biribis stud book for next year is full at a fee of fifty thousand francs. It was recently reported that Guthman refused an offer from a South American of $:::.!. 000 for the colt.
