M-ATEST LEXINGTON NOTES f 9 9 LEXIXGTOX, Ky.. April 26. Friends of R. D. Williams today were ad-Vised that he was in a Louisville hospital recovering from an operation performed last Friday. Several owners are prevented arriving here by flood waters in the South. A considerable number of racing enthusiasts who went to Hot Springs, Ark., after the close of the Jefferson Park meeting and who intended coming here are awaiting opportunity to get through the flooded district. CL W. Moore has arranged to ship his stable to Kairmount Park after the close of the meeting here. He has patronized the Illinois track since its opening and will have a stable of ten horses there this summer. A. B. and F. Letellier, Xew Orleans turfmen, whose horses are in training at Douglas Iark. have purchased from K. R. Bradley the stallion Bachelor Bird, which will be sent to Cannland Farm, where he will be bred to some of the Letellier mares. They today visited the farm for the purpose of inspecting their breeding stock and were well pleased. Jockey Mack Garners injured ankle gave him so much pain this morning that he cancelled his three mounts. The injury is nothing serious and lamer is hopeful of being able t resume riding tomorrow.
