I I 1 I T JAMAICA TURF NOTES i NEW YORK, N. Y., May 3. TOMS Goodwin, who rode two winners Monday at Jamaica, was showing his best because his mother and father were sitting in the stand watching him ride. It was the first time Mrs. Goodwin ever saw a race and she was enthusiastic over the lads excellent performance. Saxon, the Greentree reliance in the Ireak- ness, was shipped to Pimlico by trainer Clyde Phillips. Jockey Q. Ellis was to have the mount in the race. •Sandswept was claimed ut of the sixth race Monday by P. S. P. Randolph. Jr. James Rowe arrived at Belmont Park with the Harry Payne Whitney stable from Maryland. Whiskery, candi.-.ate for the Preakness and Derby, was left in Maryland to fulfill his engagement. Jake Willmer distributed badge application lists to the horsemen for the Eclmont Park meeting.
