t FAIRMOUNT TURF NOTES $ COLLINSVILUE, 111., June 24. Apprentice jockey Tommy Root, who rods with much success here and then went to Latonia a week ago, when Mose Goldblatt purchased his contract from B. P. McClain, Jr., will return here tomorrow and ride for the remainder of the meeting. The Latonia program book did not contain many races in which apprentices were given an allowance and, to do the boy justice, Goldblatt decided to place him in care of W. M. Cain here. Cain also will take the lad to Raceland, after which meeting he will return to Goldblatt3 stable. H. Herron and R. Lucas have departed with their horses for Devonshire. Padlock and Flames have been taken oft the schooling list. E. Lutz good route racer Thor broke down in his last race and will be fired and turned out at Lutz farm near Cleveland, Ohio. Cudgeller and Banton, H. G. Bedwella entry in the Hotel Statler Handicap, to bo run as the feature event of tomorrows card at Fairmount Park, arrived from Chicago late this afternoon. Mr. Bedwell will arrive in the morning and will supervise the saddling of his two good horses. Jockey W. Lilley will arrive from Latonia tonight to ride Helens Babe in the Hotel Statler Handicap at Fairmount Park tomorrow.
