Won handily; second and third driving. s EDNA GLENN began well, was forced wide; but bested SEMINOLA and, making a game finish, outstayed "GABALDON. The latter came from far back with a rush in the center of the track and waa gaining on the winner at the end. ORTLIEB, prominent from the start, tired right at the end. SEMINOLA raced into the lead in the first quarter and saved ground on the turns while showing the most speed, but tired in the last eighth and suffered from a deep cut on her hind leg. TCM ON raced close up for the first three-eighths, then responded gamely when called on in the stretch aud, vigorously ridden, outfinished HELEN R. The latter suffered from early interference, but came with a rush in the last quarter and was wearing the winner down. BLUSHING MAIDEN finished with a rush. SMILING BETTY raced prominently from the start, but tired in the final drive. VIRGINIA BEAUTY began tiring after going a half mile. ALLEVIATOR, in close quarters but close up from the start, appeared badly beaten after entering the stretch, but finished fast when taken to the Inside In the last eighth. THE MISSUS began moving up after going five-eighths and finished weU. RADIO closed a gap after going a half mile, but was almost knocked down by ALLEVIATOR in the stretch and pulled up lame. LANCER raced wide on the turns, moved up gamely after reaching the stretch, but lacked his usual fast finish. DAWN OF TOMORROW was restrained for the first half mile, then raced behind the winner and, being pocketed in the stretch, could not get through. PROFITEER raced well. BENITO raced close up from the start and, passing COMRADE after reaching the stretch, lost the lead to KING BASIL in the last eighth by making a fast and game finish, won in the laBt strides. KING BASIL, also restrained for the first three-qnarters, came to the outside in the stretch and took the lead, but swerved out slightly near the end and . was outfinished. BRIGHT SHAWL closed up some ground and finished gamely. COMRADE began tiring after showing the most speed for almost seven-eighths. CAPTAIN JACKSON showed great speed for three-eighths and quit. CALIFORNIA, shuffled back in the first three-eighths, came with a rush on the outside when near ing the stretch and swerved in sharply after taking the lead and tiring, but barely lasted to win. ELIZABETH, also forced back after beginning well, began moving up fast in the last quarter and, finishing best, was rapidly overhauling the winner. BELLHAM raced into the lead, but tired after reaching the last eighth. WAR WINGS closed a big gap. DENTESS made a fast finish. KING STAR tired. PAY DIRT was practically left at the post. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. PEGGY BLEDSOE recovered from early interference and, racing into the lead after going a half mile, won in a canter. LONGCHAMPS began moving up after going a half mile and came very wide on the last turn, but easily outfinished TIRZA. The latter, repeatedly crowded, was sore and had no chance until reaching the stretch, where she finished well. DR. A. LOWENTIIAL had no mishaps. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ran poorly.
