TWELVE IN COMBS STABLE Head of Kentucky Association Has Ten Promising Two -Year-Olds for 1928 Campaign. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 10.— Twelve horse« make up the stable that S. S. Combs, popular head of th_ Kentucky Asl ciation. member of the State Racing Commission, breeder and owner of some of the fleetest thoroughbreds developed here in recent years, is whipping into condition for Kentucky and possibly Illinois racing. Young material predominates, as ten of the dozen are two-year-olds, the older racers being Peter Prim and Rothwell. The latter two, as well as seven of the juveniles, are the property of Combo and A. B. Gallaher. the formers partner in practically all of his operations in the thoroughbred field. The Combs and Gallaher youngsters are Voter-ess, brown filly by Ballot — Lassie ; Polly Burnside, chestnut filly by Runnymede Glyn : Katherine C. chestnut filly by Wild-air — Lady Sportsman ; Broomshot, brown filly by Whisk Broom II.— Center Shot ; Blunderbuss, chestnut colt by Star Master — Mary Talbott : Lamkin, chestnut colt by Sir Martin — Regalo, and Scott, chestnut colt by Huon — Accelerate. W. J. and J. M. Foley have Frank Horan, a bay son of Last Reveille — Lucy Churchill, in the stable. The others are L. M.
