Archibald racer Flying Torch and after the running of the second race the horse was vanned back to the Hilltop track. Carl Utz has twenty two-year-olds at Havre de Grace for the Foxcatcher Farm. Some of them are extra good lookers and collectively they are a promising looking band. W. Short arrived at Havre de Grace this morning. He is to take over a division of the Willis Sharpe Kilmer stable, which will probably be raced on the Western tracks. There was a slight flurry of snow at Bowie this morning which interfered with training operations some. As a result no horses were schooled at the barrier. At Havre de Grace the weather was fine and many of the racers quartered at that course were sent along in their preparation for the races there next week. The OBrien horses were shipped direct to Jamaica from New Orleans. The Harford Handicap, which will be the feature on the opening day at Havre de Grace, has a list of sixty-four cligibles. Weights will be announced by Joseph McLennan on Thursday. C. Shea, who is under contract to Wiilis Sharpe Kilmer, had his first mount when he rode Laurel in the seventh race. In the absence of Preston Burch, who was confined to his home in Washington with a cold, the Nevada Stock Farm horses were saddled by R. E. Handlen. J. G. Wagnon was an arrival at Havre de Grace from New Orleans with his horses. They were unloaded in good shape.
