CATHERINE C, unruly at the barrier, began slowly, but raced into a good lead with a rush, ihen, under almost choking restraint, regained the lead in the final eighth and won bard held. C11A K.MINti LADY, well ridden, worked her way into the lead after reahing the streich, but «as outfinished. THISTLE STAR was forced to race wide throughout. CALEDONIA was in close quarters most of the wav. MARY JAY tired after reaching the final eighth. VIRGINIA FLYNN moved up fast wheu rounding the stretch turn, then tired. THE DOCTOR saved ground on the turns after beginning fast and ran a fairly good race. COURIER was weakly ridden. MARGUERITE WILLET acted badly at the barrier and ran poorlv. VINDICATION raced green. LUCKY HIT overcame slight interference on the first turn and quickly raced into the lead on the back stretch and, showing high speed and running gamely, held the race safe to the end. HIRAM raced in close up pursuit after losing the lend and made a resolute finish through the •treteb. TEMPEST raced a trifle wide throughout. The latter v as on the inside while making a fast pace and raced MYRTLE DEE into defeat when an eighth eat, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. MYRTLE DEE ran well, but was hard ridden i.fter gcing the first quarter and tired after reaching the last eighth. PRINCE BULBO raced wide on the turns. Ru-DELI.E was always outrun.
