BALTIMORE, Md., May 3.— The Maryland Bloodstock Agency, organized recently by some gentlemen interested in racing, held its first important sale today when the entire band of horses in training and the property of the estate of the late Edward F. Whitney, and a draft from the stables of S. W. Labrot, J. E. Davis, R. W. Carter, P. H. Faulconer and A. A. Swenke, were disposed of. The sale was largely attended and bidding on several of those offered was brisk. The three-year-old Cayuga, winner of eight races last year, was the star of the sale. He was knocked down to the Kentucky sportsman and breeder Theo. E. Mueller on his bid of 3,900. The same bidder also secured Inquisitor for ,000. The fifteen offered brought a total of 3,250. The horses knocked down to J. S. Healy were for the account of Richard Whitney, a nephew of the late Edward F. Whitney. These four were loaded on a van and shipped to Belmont Park.
