Ibeulah park turf notes! § 4 COL.UMEUS, Ohio, May 3. For rough riding in the fourth race, while astride Charles Robinson, the apprentice jockey J. M. Dale was set down for the remainder of the meeting by the steward?. Jockey C. Hopper suffered a like suspension for cutting across the others after the start with Lemon Seth in the third race. Jockey E. Shropshire was forced to cancel his engagements after the fourth race, having been hit in the eye with a clod of dirt earlier in the day. The veteran rider J. Dale was taken ill this morning from excessive reducing. He has been experiencing great difficulty of late keeping down his weight and has ridden very little. Jesse Eurke and Leslie Newton took up a collection here this morning for the widow of the late J. "Whitey" Hope and secured 50. They also sent wires to Lexington and Aurora requesting horsemen there to co-operate with them in ■ similar way, as Mrs. Hope is in stringent circumstances.
