* At Aurora One Best Bet — DEVON — In the Fifth Race. ■ d tl the li f; tl to t . f 1 f r r f v * be * h v J ■ c , I , • | i I I J j t j . J i . t J « 1 i I , ] I . ! , 1 - A good program has been arranged by the I o Exposition Park Jockey Club for Saturdays tl racing at tht Aurora track. The Joliet Han- a dicap will serve at the main feature with Lilac Time Pone and the Test Purse as a * added attractions. Five horses from the handicap division will c hook up in the Joliet Handicap, which calls ■ for a race over the one mile and a sixteenth tl distance. Devon appears much the best of J the five entered and we are looking for him I prove the earic-st winner on the card. t The Test Purse brings a good band of two- n year-olds to the post for a contest over the a a four and one-half furlongs, while the Lilac v Time Purse is a three-quarters mile sprint t for older horses. Both contests are to be n run under allowance conditions. e BOCARAT05E-TAKE A CHANCE— GO FOIX. In the first race we are selecting BOCARATONE to be the one to lead this large J, field home. The gelding was a consistent winner at Havana during the winter months. . His first race over this track will have to passed, for he did not take a liking to the ! slow track. The track today should suit . him and a race at his best should find him , home the winner. TAKE A CHANCE should t be able to get in the picture, for he has proved he is a good sprinter, and his last J would indicate thru he is not far off from . winning form. GO FOIN is another con-sistent plater that has to be figured as a . contender for some part of the purse. SANDY HATCH— BALL GEL— WILDRAKE. Another limit field is scheduled to race in 1 the second contest, which calls for a sprint I over the three-quarters distance. SANDY HATCH appears the winner and, though he £ will be making his first start in some time, we look for him to turn in a winning race, I for the dockers tell us he has lost none of 1 his old-time speed, which made him such a dangerous campaigner over the Kentucky I tracks the past year. BALL GEE figures to I be his most dangerous opponent. The geld- i ing finished second in his last three trips I to the post and, on the form he showed in • those efforts, should prove dangerous all the I way. WILDRAKE may be the one to ac- 1 count for the short end of the purse, for he is a hard horse to keep out of the money when in a running mood. IIOM SOIT— AVIATOR— CONQUISTADOR. The third race, the Lilac Time Purse, brings six horses from the older division to try conclusions over the three-quarters distance under allowance conditions.. We are I looking for the winner to turn up in HONI SOIT. The gelding raced well the last time out, only to lose a head decision to Vowed Vengeance. He is getting fourteen pounds off over that race and, with the added dis-I tance more to his liking, he should prove a handy winner. AVIATOR should prove a strong contender, but we doubt if he can turn the tables on HONI SOIT for he is asked to carry nine pounds more thr.n the latter. CONQUISTADOR may be able to save the short end of the purse. PEGGY— JACK HASKELL— FRENCH LANE. The Test Purse, fashioned for two-year- o tl a a * c ■ tl J I t n a a v t n e J, . ! . , t J . . 1 I £ I 1 I I i I • I 1 I olds, brings a good band of youngsters to the post to show their wares over the four and one-half furlongs distance. PEGGY, which set a new track record for the four and one-half furlongs distance the other day, gets the call. She is only asked to carry one pound more than she did in her last start, and she needs but to duplicate that performance to again prove a winner. JACK HASKELL was the one to follow PEGGY home the other day and we look for the grey gelding to be the one to give her the most argument again for he showed he was fast colt, setting the pace for most of the way, only to give way to PBQGY. right at the finish. FRENCH LANE, on his last winning effort, figures next best for the short end of the purse. DEVON— HIP RAP— FLORA M. We are looking for DEVON to prove the best bet of the day in annexing the major portion of the purse in the Joliet Handicap. This son of Light Brigade is due for a winning effort and. as the distance and weight should be to his liking, we look for him to give this field a sound beating. He finished in the money in both of his starts here, his last race being a good second to Shasta Gold. RIP RAP may be the one to follow DEVON to the wire. The colt is in his best form at present and he needs but to race at his best to account for the place money. FLORA M. should have little trouble in saving the show money, for the other two starters do not call for much. MISS CHIMQTY— BILL SETH.— ATLA. The sixth offering is over the mile and seventy yard3 distance and here we select MISS CHINIQUY to prove the winner. She put up a fair effort in her first start here and is bound to improve over that performance. She is favorably weighted today and only has to race in her best style to beat this field without much difficulty. BILL SETH, though he was badly beaten in his initial start over this course, gets second consideration today. He has but ninety-nine p unds in the saddle and one of his good races should find him close up when the firish is reached. ATLA comes from lxington with a second and two thirds in four starts to his credit. If he has retained his best form he may cause the leaders some trouble in this event. JUNIORS NURSE— BY GOSH— IHEYA. The concluding number is over the mile and a quarter distance and there are several here which seem to hold a winning chance. JUNIORS NURSE, which scored in her last two starts here, is given the call. She is well suited to the distance and carries a favorable impost. A race to her best style should see her adding this race to her credit. BY GOSH won in easy fashion in his first start here and, if he elects to go in the same manner today, may cause no end of trouble for JUNIORS NURSE. FREYA has been improving with each start and we expect her to get some part of this purse. She is not far from v.-b -. ing form and wouldnt surprise a great deal by winning herself. LANOIL, CAPTAIN ADAMS and JUBAL EARLY are others which figure well up.
