FIRST HOIK raced forwanily on the outside, then came to the inside and, finishing fast and gamely. held FAR AWAY safe The latttv raced in close quarters most of the way, but showed much speed and ran a good race. BURK-DALE. a slow7 beginner, raced wide on the turns, I ut closed a big gap. MIL CHARLIE had no mishaps and tired. AMBITIOUS and MAR-JANUS showed early speed, but xvere done in the stretch. FORCE raced in close up pursuit of TWENTY ONI SIXTY and. passing the latter, took a slight lend in the stretch, but tired in a hard final drive and barely lasted to win. HAWES, close up from the start, moved up resolutely in the stretih, but swerved out badly, and but for his serious loss of ground, would have won. FIELD MARSHAL also lost ground by racing wide, but came fast in the stretch and outfinished TWENTY ONE SIXTY. The latter showed the most speed to the stretch and saved ground on the inside, but gave way in the last sixteenth. INTENSE was outpaced. The latter raced close up on the outside and. coming with a rush through the last three-sixt paths, was slowly wearing the winner down. ROBINA SETII ran wide on the first turn, but saved grmind on the stretch turn and raced well in the final drive-. BLACK PARI. I NO raced well and had no mishaps. MOROCCO was saxed under icstraint to the stretih, then came on the inside and. finding an opening, quickly came through into the lend and won as hs rider pleased. RONNIE OMAIt raced forwardly and, moving up fast in the stretch, made a game challenge and outfinished JOHN JOHNSON JR. The latter raced into the lead in the first half mile, held it well to near the last eighth, but tired and was swerving out. JEB raced close up for the first three-eighths and tired. HEC raced in close pursuit of GRIEGO for the first six and a half furlongs, then, moving up on the outside, challenged gamely and, taking the lead, kept it to the end. GRIEGO showed the mmt speed and set a good pace to the stretch turn, then began tiring and was unable to withstand the winner. STUTTS closed up ground in the stretch after coming wide on the last turn, but finished gamely. SANDRAE tired in the final drive.
