The latter gained fast after going the first half mile and. coming on the inside in the stretch, passed IKENK 1I0HAN into a brief lead, then could not withstand the winners rush. IRENE ROHAN showed much the most speed to the stretch and tired. JOHN WILLIAM II.. hard ridden throughout, gained on the leaders gradually and when in the 6tretch challenged and took the lead and held MONDAY MORNING safe at the end. The latter, outpaced and in trouble in the early running, came through on the inside in the stretch and outfinished MR. CHARLIE. MB. CHARLIE raced into a good lead and. after showing the most speed to the last turn, tired in the final drive. MEDIATOU JR. was in close quarters on the inside, but ran well. FIRST HOUR moed up and threatened in the stretch, but tired. FIRTH OF FORTH quit badly. TWENTY ONK SIXTY set a good pace to near the last eighth, then tired, but raced well, forcing the winner to do his best to win. PAPRIKA came fast on the outside in the final drive, outfinishing the others. MER1WICK raced wide most of the way and tired. LADY ONEIL was done in the stretch. BI.At K DARLING, always MM up. came with a rush on the inside near the end and barely failed to get up in the last Uridc. BOYAL RUBY was a forward contender all the way. finished gamely and ran a good race. WOODPACE raced in closest pursuit of the distant leader, then tired in the final drive and ran a bad race. TOPSY S. shot out of the bunch into the lead and, passing TORCHES as they neared the far turn, held sway to the end. but was hard ridden and barely lasted to heat TREASURER. The latter raced far back until in the stretch, then closed a big gap on the Inside and finished fastest of all. HCON PINE worked his way up gradually, made a challenge in the stretch and finished well. MARY B. ran a good race and was gaining at the end. TOUCHER raced close up until the stretch was reached, but tired and was done in the last eighth. MISS TORCH quit. Overweight-Miss Torch. 2 pounds.
