MAE QUINCE showed fine speed from the start and outgamed ABINCTON in the filial stiides. The latter raced well on the outside and finished fast. SPEEDY SHAW tired and v as not I i rsevered with. Won easily; second and third driving. SUN BEAU set a fast pace under light restraint, saved ground where possible and won by a clear margin. SEPOY lacked speed in the early running, but came on the outside when entering the stretch and finished with a rush. DANTHONIA raced forwardly all the way and had no mishaps. WAR FLIER was much used in chasing the winner closely and tred at the eiid. FRIARS nOIE was under restraint for the first half and had no mishaps. MAELSTROM was always outrun. The latter moved up gamely on the outside after rounding the far turn, but tired and swerved under hard riding in the final seventy yards. PROPUS raced in close pursuit of the winner from the start and had no mishaps, but tired. SUN EDWIN raced well. OH SAY was always outrun. TUSKEGEE ran poorly.
