BILLY McFADDEN moved up into third place in the first half mile, then took the lead in the stretch and easily kept VANQUISH safe. The latter dropped back at the start, but gained steatlilv under good riding, closed a big gap nnd made a game finish. JlNIOR SETH showed Brack the most early sp: ed and raced into a long lead, but tired. PANZORA was outpaced to the stretch, then came fast on the outside. DISCREET showed speed and ran a good race. DENNY worked his way up gradually and, passing CLUTTER when an eighth away, held the latter safe. CLUTTER showed the most early speed and raced well to the end. FORWARD PASS ran out extremely wide on the stretch turn. WHIZZING CLOUD tired in the first quarter and was badly outpaced. The latter raced close up and took the lead entering the stretch, then tired, but outfinished LAUDATION. LAUDATION alternated in setting the pace with EDITH GRAY and took the lead again in the stretch, but gave way near the end. ROSEMARY LAYCOCK had no mishaps and outran the others. DRUMINA quit.
