MISSTEP BACK AT ARLINGTON ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 25.— Loo J. Marks crack three-year-old Misstep, which was shipped to Latonia in quest of the Latonia Derby honors, but owing to the unfavorable track conditions Saturday was an absentee from the stake, was returned to Arlington Park this morning, accompanied by his stablemate Mcp Up. Trainer Mose Lowenstein, in commenting en Missteps absence from the Derby said. "Both Mr. Marks and myself deepl. regretted that Misstep did not start in the Latonia Derby. He had been shipped there especially to fill his engagement in the stake, and we were particularly anxious for him again to meet Toro. But the track was in such bad condition Saturday morning, and there being no prospect of any immediate improvement in the going, we decided not to start Misstep. We were both of the opinion that this was the better course to pursue, for we did not want to take any chances of having him break down. Misstep is in the Turf and Field Handicap at Arlington Park, and I am hopeful that he will be able to start in that stake." ... . a
