GOVERNOR PRATT raced close up on the outside to the stretch, where he responded gamely when called on and, slowly wearing the leaders down, got up to win in the last stride. RONDELLE gained steadily on the outside after going three-eighths and bumped the winner when she swerved in the finnl drive. THE RAT, always close up, raced in the deepest going In the last quarter, but finished well. WHISK ARROW showed slightly the most early speed and tired in the last eighth. BEN MACHREE was raced over the firmest part of the track for the entire way, moved up steadily on the las* turn and easily passed the leaders after reaching the stretch. ANNA BEALL showed I peed and also raced over the best part of the track and held on well to the last sixteenth. SUPER ROCK raced close up throughout. MARY McCLAIN. nlso close up to the stretch, tired when hard ridden. STAR FORWARD began slcwly and closed up fast in the la*t quarter. MARY GARDNER ran poorly. PRINCESS DONNA showed early speed, but raced over the worst going and was done after reaching the stretch. SOUTHLAND ROY raced in close quarters around the last turn and, going to the inside, finished resolutely. VENDEUSE was raced wide to the stretch, where she tired and swerved. JUEL JEAN raced well. GINESTRA began tiring after reaching the last eighth. BETTY BUX and SOIREE tired. MELITA was caught in the barrier at the start and raced far back to the stretch. The latter showed the most speed to the last eighth and was best, but was slightly lathered by the winner. PAUL REVERE raced in the- worst going through the stretch and held on gamely.
