The latter, away fast, showed the most speed and. passing GOLDEN SCHOOL, raced HAL SIDE GUY into defeat, but tired slightly. MAU-DALE raced into a long lead in the first half mile and held it unexpectedly well in the final drive, but tired. SWEET MONEY wa - allowed to drop too far back after the start rnd closed a big gap in the stretch. MA.IOE moved up List after going a half mile. LA SAGETTE began fast and showed the most speed for a half mile, then tired. GLAB EFFORT had to be ridden lard in the ttretca to outfinish PEGGY LEE. The Utter, practically left at the post, closed a big gap and was only beaten in the final stride for third place. EVELYN L. began tiring in the last sixteenth. MISS MISCHIEF quit badly. BOOZE BEYER was taken completely back just before reaching the stretch turn. PAULA SHAY, taken completely out of it after the start, was given a listless ride and closed a big gap to wear down DANTE in the stretch. DANTE was tiring at the end.
