■ s* L. M. NEWGASS DIES LOUISVILLE Ky„ May 13.— News of the death of L. M. Newgass, widely known horseman of Chicago, was received at the track this afternoon. The deceased listed a number of the horsemen and officials here among his closest friends, and word of his death came as a big shock to all of them. Just a few weeks ago Mr. Newgass was taken ill while here and, after being removed to Chicago, was taken to an infirmary, where his condition steadily grew worse.
