Start good and slow. Won handily ; second and third driving. ROCKY WAY, beginning well from an outer position, sprinted into the lead at once, set the pace gamely and, racing EUNICE ATWELL into defeat, held GEO. TERRY safe at the end. The latter began fast, but dropped far back, then closed an immense gap and finished fastest of all. CHRIS. PASCHEN improved his position gradually and ran a good race. BUNN OUDERKIRK made a threatening move when entering the stretch, but tired. EUNICE ATWELL showed early speed and raced closely with ROCKY WAY for five-eighths before tiring. WENTZ gave way after going the first quarter. WILDRAKE, helped by being ridden in the best part of the track, passed CATCH HIM into the lead after going the first quarter and easily held sway to the finish. TIMEKEEPER raced close up on the outside and gained gradually, but tired in the last sixteenth, barely ontfinishing STURDY STELLA. The latter was outpaced for a time in the going, but finished with a rush and gaining on the leaders. CATCH HIM showed the most early speed, but was poorly managed and ridden Into the worst going on the inside, causing him to tire. FOXY SETH. racing well in the going, quickly raced into a long lead, increased his advantage steadily and won in a canter. GOOSE STEP raced in closest pursuit of the leader and could never reach him, but was easily second best. PATSY LEWIS improved her position steadily all through the last three-eighths. PATTI LOUISE saved ground where possible, was in the worst part of the track and ran a good race. LITTLE SPIED had no mishaps. TEXAS LONGHORN ran poorly in the going and lacked speed. ALTO, outrun to the stretch, came to the outside and then, rapidly racing to the tiring leadersv bumped and attempted to bite SHORT PRICE and headed the latter in the final few srides. SHORT PRICE raced close up and challenged ORESTES II near the last eighth, then took a slight lead, but could not withstand the winner. ORESTES II. forced the pace, then raced into the lead on the inside after entering the stretch, but tired in the final drive. GOOD SHEPHERD gradually improved his position, had no mishaps and tired in the last sixteenth. OLD KICKAPOO was done in the stretch after showing early speed. CAPTAIN APPLEJACK closed • big g.ip in the early running and challenged the leader repeatedly in the last half mile, but was held cafe at the end. SISTER JOAN raced forwnrdly and was kept in the best going and raced gamely through the final eighth. CATESIIY gained gradually, closing up considerable ground. TREASURER dropped far back after the start, but was racing fast at the finish. PEARLIES GIRLIE tired, as did ROBBIE I 01LE. The latter was close up throughout, disposed of GAY HALLIE and was slowly gaining on the winner at the end. FIRST DANCE Buffered when raced in the worst part of the track, but ran a good race and finished gamely. GAY HALLIE raced forwardly to the stretch turn before tiring. ADEI.E W. was far back for the first three-quarters, moved up resolutely thereafter, but could never threaten the leaders. Scratched— 35876 Huey, 114; 36100 Finnster, 111; 35959 Goldmark, 111.
