BUYS MARES FROM MADDEN LEXINGTON, Ky., May 14— Dr. D. B. Knox, of Georgetown, Kentucky, purchased from John E. Madden the following mares: Waitress, chestnut mare, four years old, by Prince Pal — Phantom Maid, by Uncle and her chestnut filly by Crimper; Tip Toe Inn, black mare, nine years old, by Hessian — Lizzie Dixon by Sir Dixon, and her bay colt by Star Master, and Soubrette, bay mare, eight years old, by King James — Sister Superior, by Superman and her bay filly by Captain Alcock. Waitress and Tip Toe Inn were bred to Dozer this season and Soubrette to Star Master.
