twASHlNGTON PARK NOTES? $ 4 HOMEWOOD, 111., May 27. Jesse Bennett is handling the book on the two promising riders, apprentice J. Beech and jockey C. Grassia, and will make their engagements here. Beech and Grassia are attached to the J. Spencer stable. Jockey C. McCrossen, who came here to ride the LeMar Stock Farms Misstep in the Washington Park Handicap, returns to Louisville tonight, where he will have the mount on the Derby winner, Clyde Van Dusen, in the latters remaining Kentucky engagements. Jockey L. Morris came in from Washington, D. C, and wiLl do the riding for the E. K. Bryson stable. Apprentice J. Serio is attached to the same stable and will do the lightweight riding. J. J. Greeley transferred his stable of eleven from Aurora to the Homewood course. The Lone Star Stable of T. T. Pendleton, Fort Worth, Texas, including twelve horses, reached Washington Park today, coming from Churchill Downs. Thomas Hurley brought in Patina and Know Me Gnome from Aurora, T. Downs also shipped from Aurora the racers Three Ds, Al Garnet and Southtown. Jockey C. Meyer, contract rider for S. Pea-body stable, arrived from Fairmount Park. Fifteen racers will represent the Glen View Farm Stable at Washington Park, in charge of trainer Stanley H. King. Black Patti, Golden Volt, Lyda Mae, Supporter and Semper Felix are at present on the schooling list at Washington Park. B. A. Jones transferred his stable of ten over to Washington Park from Aurora. J. P. Welch and R. E. Mahoney also made the same transfer. The entry of the racer Berosus has been barred at Washington Park, due to his bad post tactics. C. Houbre brought in the old Hickory Stables The Coach and Nae Breeks, the former a two-year-old. I. Weil has five racers stabled here, including the reported crack filly Kate Geary, for which Weil was reported as having refused a 0,000 offer. Jess Spencer has one of the largest racing establishments quartered at Washington Park, his band numbering twenty.
