ETHEL GALLIGER, racing in her best foim, was restrained for half a mile, came fast when urged hard in the stretch and wore down BEAU ASlIN in the last twenty yards. BEAU ASIMN kCgaa fast and, showing the most speed, raced into a good lead, but tired fast when reaching the last sixteenth. DREAM LIFE saved much ground in the stretch, canm steadily in the last sixteenth and wore down AKKOCANT. The latter raced forwardly for most of the way and tired in the last few strides. TOLTEC began fast, but was headed by THISTLE JOHN in the first quarter, came again when hard urged in the strelh and wore down THISTLE JOHN in the last sixteenth to win drawiti* clear. THISTLH JOHN showed good speed, but tired unexpectedly when he appeared to have the race won. MIKE CABBY raced prominently for the entire distance and was going gamely at the end. ALABAMA BOUND saved much ground by staying close to the inner rail, showed good speed and finished gamely, but was not good enough for the winner. ATHFN3 raced wide during the first three-eighths, but came with a rush in the last quarter. MACKS BABY, from an outer position, had to race wide the entire way and only performed ordinarily well. SPORTING LADY raced wide during the entire race and lost much ground. SCARLET BRIGADE begaa tiring badly after going a half. WEBSTER raced poorly. LANE ALLEN suffered much from poor riding and was sharply interfered with when going fast just before reaching the stretch turn. JUOGfl MURPHY began tiring after three-quarters.
