PANDORlS assumed a slight had soon after the start, was steadied along until reaching the •trctdi, shook off ARCHIPELAGO and held CANAILLE perfectly safe. The latter, away quickly, was rated within strikiLg distance of the leaders, finished gamely, but was not good enough. ARCHIPELAGO displayed good n e ei for half a mile and tired as if short. EUGENIC began flatfootcd and bolted to the outside after having the barrier and lo«t much ground throughout. CAMPFIBE MAID, well ridden, was not hurried when displaced soon after the start, followed the pacemaker closely and took a winning lead at the final eighth post and drew away at will ther after. QUEEN UORIN, going in her best form, was outrun in the early stages, but finished gamely and outstayed IMPERTINENT. The latter took command, saved ground, but tired fast in the last eighth. JOHNNY AGEE followd close up, raced BALAI DOR into defeat, but tired when the final drive came. LADY McNEILL, unable to keep in contention early, closed a good gap.
