DUFFERIN PARK GOOD CARD TORONTO, Ont.. June 17.— Though there was no feature down for decision at l ufferin lark today, it was a highly interesting program that racing secretary Wash Norvcll provided for the large throng that was on hand to witness the sport. Violado, bail acting son of Volta and Dora T., racing for J. Hoskins, scored a hollow triumph in the fif.h race, at six and one-half furlongs. Mrs. I. Caplins Murzim finished second, while Scissors carried the silks of M. Stern into third place. Violado acted badly at the post and delayed the start four minutes. When the start came, Violado was off with the leaders and by the time the first quarter mile had been traversed had opened up three lengths on his nearest rival. Redding Remitted him to step along until reaching iho back stretch, where he gave him a breathing spell. This allowed Murzim to get within a half length of him. He was then permitted to open up on his field again and his rider, taking no chance, kept him under pressu.o while racing well clear of Murzim. The !•»•-ter moved up fast going through the straightaway, made a gallant effort to catch tho winner, but was always held safe. •
