BELfflONT STAKES WORKOUTS Gallant Fox Given Jog With Fast FastEighth Eighth at End Flying Gal Galin in Long Gallop NEW YORK N Y May 29 Nothing re ¬ markable happened among the candidates for the Belmont Stakes to be run June 7 at the various training grounds Wed ¬ nesday Gallant Fox was merely jogged about by Earl Sande winding up his exer ¬ cises with a fast furlong The son of Sir Galahad III seems to be holding his edge nicely and there is no fear of his not being reaSy for the one mile and a half gallop Flying Gal a daughter of Sir Gallahad III and a stablemate to Gallant Fox was sent along for a mile and a quarter and it is probable she will bear him company in the big race raceFitzsimmons Fitzsimmons who does his training at Aqueduct permitted the filly to race along for a mile and a quarter in 2 10 and it was accomplished in a manner to tell of her readi ¬ ness The fractions were 49 116 142 155 and 210 210AVhichone AVhichone of courser had his work in the one mile Ballot Handicap which he won so easily and he has the Withers Stakes before him Saturday before he is asked to race in the Belmont Stakes The son of Chicle has done all that has been asked so impressively that the only possible question is now of his ability to carry his speed for the mile and a half Other works were Black Majesty 49 115 140 Breezing Thru 50 115 127 Nile Maiden 49 115 140 154 Imperial Air 48 114 141
