ACCIDENT IS FATAL FATALTORONTO TORONTO Ont May 29 Trainer Fred Schelke of the Thorncliffe Stable reports the loss of the good Canadianbred threeyear old Whale Oil Just as he was breaking for a trial yesterday morning the colt wheeled into the inside fence and suffered internal injuries which proved fatal The Thorncliffe Stable has been particularly unfortunate in losing good horses through accidents Captain Scott probably the best horse that the Davies Brothers ever bred was cut down in a race by his stable companion Pin Wheel and had to be destroyed A majority of the twoyearolds in the stable have bucked and this has necessitated a change in plans Instead of shipping to Ottawa the Thorn ¬ cliffe horses will remain here for the time being at least
