CHARLEY BALLARD DIES DIESNEW NEW YORK N Y June 9 News of the death of Charley Ballard veteran racing man and former rider was received at Belmont Park He died Sunday morning in the Lu ¬ theran Hospital from complications Fu ¬ neral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 oclock from Sheeys Funeral Parlors St Nicholas Avenue and One Hundred Fifty fifth Street Ballard relived from riding in 1S94 and was looked upon in his day as a good rider He rode for Tom Barrett Billy McMahon Tom Welsh and others He was 58 years of age
