SOUTHTOUR bounded to the front when the barrier was sprung and, drawing away in the first eighth, held the others safe thereafter. JOLLY PILOT, close to the lead at the eighth post, was tiring at the end. BRAVE AND BOLD bore over in front of BONNIE BRAE in the stretch and finished next to the rail. BONNIE BRAY began slowly and raced on the outside until well around the far turn, then went over to the inside on the stretch turn, but was blocked when she attempted to come through in the last eighth. MY CARE responded gamely the last time around and hung on resolutely when challenged. NAT CLYMAN, close to the pace, fenced well and saved ground and met with no mishaps. ACROBATE II. gained steadily and finished fast and was gaining on NAT CLYMAN at the end and would have been second in another stride. ST. VERNON closed stronely. BOLTON fell at the last fence, but was remounted and finished. HUON JOY and TEQUILA fell at the thirteenth jump. BUD BUD fell at the eighth, MERILINE at the seventh, FARO at the fourth and BILLYCOCK and NOTUS at the first. ALL BLUE, hustled along from the start, was used up going to the front and making the pace and tired badly when put to a drive in the last quarter. NEALON KAY. a good mudder, lacked speed and dropped out of it on the back stretch. GRIFF W. was eased up at the end. GUILFORD tired early. , . FRISIUS, hustled along from the start, was used up making the pace and tired at the end. WILLIAM T. raced well in the going. MIRBAT began very slowly and was a trailer for five eighths. The latter, saved off the early pace, moved up on the outside when called upon, but could not get up. FAIR BETH was forwardly placed and closed gamely.
