BILLY BARTON STEEPLECHASE BALTIMORE, Md., May 5.— Frank F. Bryan, who is one of Americas best posted steeplechase officials, goes on record as saying that the Billy Barton Steeplechase, which is now Americas greatest crosscountry event for hunters, will eventualv be the most sought after jumping contest in this country. Every year since its in augural running at Pimlico this race has grown in importance, and it probably attracts more people from various points in this country than any other race run at the meeting. On Thursday, when this "ace wttt be featured as the fourth event, the old jumper. Billy Barton, will lead the field to the post.
