CALIFORNIA HORSES COMING Stalls at Washington Park Prepared for Big Consignment Due Soon From Far West. Stalls await the arrival of those horses which will leave California May 15 to be raced at Washington Park during the thirty days beginning May 25. Tom Young, track superintendent, has received instructions from C. W. Hay, general manager, that these thoroughbreds will include the shipments of the Northway Stable, Peter B. Kyne, novelist and short story writer; Wil-lard Mack, playwright and scenario specialist; "Whitey" Whitehill and others. It is a useful band that will make the long journey after a series of brilliant performances at Agua Caliente and Tanforan. Rosy reports have been received by Judge Hay respecting virtually every horses coming from the Pacific Coast section. The judge himself saw all of them under colors at Agua Caliente. It is his belief that every one will render a good account in stake .features and overnight events at Washington Park. The Bill Bee Stable, pride of Willard Mack, has Satin Spar, Suns Son, By Wire and Sir Satin in various features. Peter B. Kynes El Galivan Rancho colors will be borne by Saboyon. Celtic Queen, Diamond Head, Call to Arms, Kamalii, Bonfield and others, the last named in the American Derby, June 20, the others in either the Thomas Curran Memorial Handicap or Debutante Stakes. The Northway cracks, Eskimo, Sundot and Plucky Play, are in several of the stakes. W. B. Finnegan has sent word from the West that he will have a number of useful performers at Washington Park when the curtain lifts. He has a large band of two-year-olds, sixteen in all, and every one is well bred, according to a letter sent to Judge Hay. The two-year-olds entered by Finnegan in the name of the Meadowbrook Farm Stable are Red Diamond, Witeon and Desert Sun. This trio will go in the Thomas Curran Memorial Handicap. ,000 added, on Saturday, June 13. One hundred and sixty colts and geldings were named in this five and a half furlong event. _ a
