PIMLICO TURF NOTES 4 4 BALTIMORE, Md., May 5. Tommy Gorman, secretary manager of the Ottawa course, was a club house visitor. Chaperoned by Mortimer Mahoney, Gorman inspected Pimlicos mutuel plant. Louis Larievee, sports editor of LTllustra-tion, a Montreal publication, was an arrival. He is here to coVer the Preakness for his paper. Larievee was for many years sports editor of Le Canada. Trainer Clyde Phillips split the W. Ziegler, Jr., stable and shipped a division to Churchill Downs in charge of jockey George Arnold. The remainder of the Ziegler string will be sent to New York. J. D. Dobson, who has been appointed racing secretary for the Ebensburg, Penn., meeting in September will go to Radnor, Penn., on Saturday to handle the racing at that point. Aegis and Sweet Senorita are the latest additions to starter Jim Miltons schooling list. Trainer Scott Harlan announced that he had received instructions from his employer Wm. J. Jeffords to send Aegis to the post for the Preakness. Several stables pulled out for Toronto this morning, among them were C. E. Myatt, Dave Boyle and W. G. Wilson. In addition to the horses he is shipping from here, Myatt will race a division of the J. P. White horses on the Canadian circuit.
