~ WOODBINE PARK NOTES T # — — . 4 TORONTO, Ont., May 25. Joe Dreyer, who raced with good success on Canadian tracks last summer, returned for another campaign. Dreyer arrived from Kentucky with a stable of racers and intends to add more by operating a public stable during the season. Those in the Dreyer stable at present include Wigrose, Teagown, Bag o Gold and Bag of Roses. Boys Howdy of the H. C. Hatch stable was unloaded at Bainbridge Park Sunday following his withdrawal from the Bainbridge Derby and prepared for shipment to Toronto. The colt arrived in good condition Sunday night after a fast trip. Jockey A. Robertson, contract rider for the C. V. Whitney stable, was granted permission from head trainer T. J. Healey to ply his vocation here for the remainder of the local meeting. Trainer W. H. Bringloe reported that Mythical Lore and Freethinker, two that he saddled for the Seagram Stable in the Kings Plate on Saturday, came out of the race in bad condition. Mythical Lore was badly kicked in the maneuvers at the post and today was hardly able to move about her quarters. Freethinker, following his effort in the nine furlongs test, cooled out very sore and in all probability will be away from the races for a lengthy period. E. J. Kaufman, owner of the Fox Chapel Farms forwarded word that he would arrive from his Pittsburgh home on Wednesday to remain for the concluding days of : the Ontario Jockey Club meeting. The Fox Chapel Farm furnished the winner of the : Fraser Memorial Steeplechase on Saturday in Sardaneza. i E. J. Salt will take a division of the Sea- gram Stable to Ottawa for the seven day I meeting that begins at the Connaught Park course on June 3. The next meeting of the Canadian Racing I Associations committee will be held Friday 1 in the club house at Woodbine Park. H. J. Mclntyre, president of the Hamilton I Jockey Club, and Allie Loudon, secretary, • were arrivals to witness the running of the I holiday program. Trainer Harry Giddings, who handles the I horses of the following: Mount Royal Stable, I R. W. R. Cowie, G. M. Hendrie, C. Robson and D. R. Webster, has made preparations I to ship to Connaught Park at the conclusion ] of the Woodbine meeting. The stable of L. M. Shea that is trained by L. A. Daly will be sent to Connaueht Park. Sardaneza, which carried the Fox Chapel Farm silks to victory in the Fraser Me- 1 moral Steeplechase, came out of nis engage- i ment in lame condition and he will be forced to remain inactive for some time. William Woodward, chairman of The 1 Jockey Club, New York, who at present is 1 aboard ship to attend the Derby dinner of King George V. and to witness the trial of his starter, St. Andrew, in his engagements i in England, is being ably represented at Woodbine Park with a string of racers that 1 are here in charge of G.
